Climate Action
Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts
Man-made climate change affects everyone worldwide; however, more affected will be the people living in poor conditions. Rising sea levels, ocean acidification, extreme weather events such as rising temperatures, heavy rainfalls, floods, and prolonged periods of drought are all consequences of anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions and will have an impact on both humans and the environment.
The Paris Climate Agreement’s goal is to keep the global average temperature below 2 degrees Celsius above to pre-industrial times. Therefore, by 2030, many sectors such as energy, transport, industry, and agriculture need to improve their energy consumption, especially in developed countries, as they as they emit most of the greenhouse gases.
