Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all
Complete gender equality does not yet exist in any country in the world, and it ranges from income differences to open discrimination. Even though nowadays significantly more girls attend school, there are still many girls around the globe doing household chores while their brothers tend to their education. Only in half the countries, there is an equal amount of men and women studying; however, later on, income equality ceases to exist. Woman own only a fraction of the world's wealth and are still under-represented in politics. This inequality not only harms women themselves, but it also wastes great potential for progress and development.
Women should have the same opportunities as men and be able to determine their own lives. To achieve this, both must have equal rights, duties and opportunities in politics, business and society. It is only possible if women and men work together, and if they have political support for gender equality. At the same time, the life of a woman must improve; By 2030, all forms of discrimination, violence and sexual exploitation, as well as child marriage and genital mutilation, should be eliminated.
